Build a language: human, fantasy, animal, alien. Answer questions about how it works across nine domains — what kind of thing it is at all, then syntax, grammar, phonology, morphology, semantics, pragmatics, its writing system and how to romanise it — give it units, words and a script, and watch English sentences turn into it.

The first questions are the ones most tools skip. Is it spoken, or signed, or made of light? Are its signals built from smaller meaningless pieces, or is each one a whole? Can it refer to yesterday? Answer those and the rest of the app holds you to them: a system that cannot refer beyond the present is not offered tense, and one whose repertoire is closed will not coin you a word.

That is one language — spoken, human, SOV with postpositions and a past-tense suffix. Every setting is a question you answer, and every sentence you keep re-renders as you change your mind. Change the channel to chromatic and the same machinery describes something with no mouth at all.
